Wild Book Company is owned and run by Molly Hill. Formerly called Olde and New England Books and with a focus on the British Isles and New England, the store was owned and run by Molly’s mother, Mary Hill, for almost 30 years. After her mother died in 2020, and after retiring from teaching, Molly decided to keep the store open but with a new vision.

Wild Book Company boasts a well-curated collection of new and used books that inspire adventure, highlight creativity and innovation, and celebrate the natural world. There is something for every reader: fiction, non-fiction, mystery, poetry, children/middle grades/young adults, cooking, gardening, art, biography and memoir, and plenty of books devoted to nature, wilderness, adventure and travel, with new arrivals every week! 

Wild Book Company also offers a creative space for crafting and art, and hosts author events, book clubs, and other community gatherings. See the Events page for upcoming events. 

Wild Book Company is a seasonal bookstore open during the summer and fall each year (see the Hours page for current store dates/hours). The store is located in picturesque Newfane, Vermont, in a beautifully refurbished barn (that used to be a theater!). It just might be the most beautiful bookstore in Vermont :).
